Free number checker

Paste phone numbers and see which ones are written correctly, which country each belongs to and, for some countries, what kind of line it is. It all runs in your browser, so your list is never uploaded.

Up to 5,000 numbers at a time. The example numbers are made up.

What this check can and cannot tell you

It checks how a number is written and which country its code belongs to. For the United States and Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and India it also checks the length and number range. For other countries it checks only the length.

It cannot tell you whether a number exists or is connected right now. That needs a live check with the mobile network, called an HLR lookup, which is part of the paid service. See Number lookup.

If Excel drops the + sign when you open the CSV, import the file with Data, From Text/CSV, and set that column to Text.
