SMS that leaves under your name.
Choose a sender name of up to 11 characters, write your message and see exactly how many SMS parts it will use. The cost appears before you confirm.
What you can do
Use your own sender name. Up to 11 characters. Some countries require it to be registered first, and we will tell you which.
Count before you send. 160 characters per part in standard GSM-7 text, 70 when your message needs Unicode such as emoji or accents outside the GSM set.
Send to a list. Paste numbers or upload a CSV or TXT file. Duplicates and malformed numbers are removed first.
Save templates. Keep the messages you reuse and personalise them with fields from your list.
Follow delivery. See each message's status, and use the API or webhooks to receive results in your own system.
Character limits at a glance
| Type of text | Single SMS | Longer message, per part |
|---|---|---|
| Standard GSM-7 | 160 characters | 153 characters |
| Unicode (emoji, many non-Latin scripts) | 70 characters | 67 characters |
Characters such as the euro sign, square brackets and curly braces count as two in GSM-7.
Rules of the road
You may only message people who agreed to hear from you, your messages must say who they are from, and every marketing message needs an easy way to opt out. Read the acceptable use policy before you sign up.
