Acceptable use
You are the sender
You decide what is sent, from which sender name and to whom. You answer for it to recipients, mobile networks and regulators.
Consent
- Only message people who gave you permission, or whom the law lets you contact, and keep proof of it.
- Do not use bought, rented, scraped or randomly generated number lists.
- Marketing messages must name the business sending them and offer a free way to opt out. Honour opt-outs at once.
- Respect sending hours and frequency limits in the recipient's country.
Sender names
- Use only names you own or are authorised to use.
- Do not imitate banks, government bodies, couriers, mobile operators or other organisations.
- Where a country requires registration of sender names or message templates, completing it is your responsibility. We may ask for business details and sample messages before you can send there.
Not allowed
- Phishing, fake alerts, fake prizes or requests for passwords, codes or card details.
- Scams, pyramid schemes, and investment or crypto offers with promised returns.
- Illegal goods or services, unlicensed gambling, adult content, or anything involving minors.
- Hate, threats, harassment or unlawful debt collection.
- Altering words to slip past filters, hiding link destinations, or spreading traffic across accounts or sender names to avoid detection.
- Generating traffic to numbers you control to earn termination revenue.
- Using lookups or tests on numbers without a legal reason, or to profile or locate a person.
- Reselling the service without our written agreement.
Links
Links must lead to domains you own or are authorised to use. Generic link shorteners may be blocked.
What happens if you break these rules
We may block or rewrite messages, pause campaigns, limit sending, revoke API keys, suspend or close the account, hold your balance to cover penalties and losses, and report the facts to networks and authorities.
